The Board would like to announce that Grahame Booth is stepping down from his position as Senior TD in the Knockout Department, in order to take a temporary leave of absence.
Grahame has made a very varied and valuable contribution to the Club, since joining the Staff in 2003. Grahame has seen service in the New Member Programme, Thematics, Admin Department and Class, and most rec ently has reorganised the KO Department.
The Board wishes him a well earned rest, and success in his endeavours, and looks forward to welcoming hi m back in the fullness of time.

The Board is also pleased to welcome Michel Barrer as the new Senior TD in the KO Department.
Michel has also been on the staff for some time, and has seen service as a TD in Thematics, 2-Game/Trio, and served as an IECC Team Captain, and has also worked in the Admin Dept. More recently, he ran the New Member Programme. Just prior to assuming responsibility for the KO Dept., Michel has been assisting Jerry in the 1-Game/Pyramid Department in order that he can also provide absence cover for those events.

Vacancies

We currently have a vacancy for a webmaster to join the I.T. Department. Basic html skills will be sufficient to assist the web team with the routine maintenance and updating of the website, but there will also be the opportunity to use and develop any additional skills on optional development projects, if wished.

Particular vacancies also exist in Administration and for Tournament Directors

PLEASE NOTE: You must be an IECC member in order to volunteer.

There is always room for additional staff in most departments, so if your interests lie in administration or managing chess events, there will be something to suit most interests, so members should always feel free to apply for any position.

Please use the form on the Volunteering Page to submit your application.

The Club cannot function without the help of our volunteers, who so generously devote part of their spare time to running the Club.
